Good coffee, and cafe style food. Fantastic views while you eat, overlooking Mangonui Harbour. They also open for dinner during the summer, but it would pay to check out their opening times in advance. Definitely recommended!

Recommended! Where the locals get their fish & chips. You don't get the same view as at the Mangonui fish shop, but the prices are much cheaper & quality is just as good.

Don't be put off if you see a row of big motorbikes parked outside - the riders are a good bunch of guys. There is also a takeaway food bar attached, where you can order to food to eat in the bar, or take home with you.

You can walk a trail of historic sites around Mangonui - drop by the Visitors Centre on Waterfront Drive for a map. Even just a gentle stroll along the waterfront is a great way to relax - it's always fun to go out on the wharf and see what fish are being caught as well.
