This is a beautiful natural area with 230 acres of green space, maintained by the University of Washington, just perfect for taking a walk and bringing a friend and a picnic. Don't forget to walk through the lovely Japanese Gardens to finish your day, as it is delicately maintained and full of tiny delights (there is an entrance fee for the Japanese Gardens). Get out of the city for an afternoon!
