Our Food Choices
This is a high end ($$$+) establishment, where creatively enticing the pallet with an homage towards locale food utilization is Chef Devin Finigan's specialty. Her highly anticipated opening of her new location on one of the most beautiful vistas on the island (slated to open sometime in June 2019), has many excited for what's to come.

For an exceptionally brewed cup of locally roasted coffee, this is the place. The atmosphere here is sometimes placid and introspective and sometimes humming with conversations spawned by local islanders and visitors alike. They also offer locally made food items, artisans crafts and occasional special food/drink events. They also have a storefront in Deer Isle Village, where they do the roasting.

You can stroll around the farm and pet the goats on days that they are open. This place is a "TRIP" and I don't mean distance wise. Peter Beerit and his wife Annie have spent their lives cooking up tasty treats for the tongue and eyes. Annie oversees the making of their various flavored famous jams and jellies that you can sample and buy. Peter has created an amazing little village and fantasy forest on their property, filled with sculptures made from reclaimed objects. You can also purchase small sculptures made by Peter. Set aside some space in your belly and touring time to check out this "must see".

There are two farmers markets on the island - this is the smaller, more intimate one in Deer Isle Village. If you like fresh shucked oysters, then BYO favorite B and order a couple that were just pulled from the waters just outside of town, from Long Cove Sea Farm.
