Afghani cuisine. Thank: middle eastern kebab meets indian curry with lots of flavor but not spice. Excellent food and service. Definitely get a side dish of Kadu (sautéed pumpkin in yogurt sauce).

You can catch the famous cable cars along Hyde Street. Take them north to get to Fisherman's Wharf. Take them south to get to Union Square. $6/person. You can pay when you get on the car.
