Filipino restaurants are rare and this highly rated one is only a few blocks from my house. From the outside it looks kind of plain but the interior is very nice and the food is delicious.

This is a BYOB Bosnian restaurant one block from my place. This restaurant is nice and a little more upscale than the restaurants around it.

This is a traditional German restaurant that appeared on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. They have a great live band that plays almost every night and you can get a giant boot of beer.

This is one of only two Michelin-rated restaurants in Northern Chicago. It's also BYOB. You'll probably need a reservation but it's worth getting one if you want to treat yourself.
