Take the ferry to this old shipyard area, upcycled with restaurants/clubs on the waterside, and the enormous "ijhallen" fleamarket. Check if it's on during your stay, it's amazing for vintage shopping

They just renovated Holland's most famous museum -and took 10 years for it. I love the biking tunnel that goes through.

This old newspaper factory turned into one of the best clubs of Amsterdam. Lines get very long, though. Sunday is always a good night. Opposite is DOKA, a grungy dance cave that can get wildly loose.
