What I personal like about Norah Heads light house is not just the history but accessibility to a great spot to visit.
Start your walk through the bush from the Brush St Reserve to the light house which gives you views over the coast. Keep going around the coast back up to the carpark. 40min plus walk. Take the dog and have some fun and explore.

Munmorah State Conservation park is only 12min drive and opens you up to great walks, BBQ and picnic areas plus four beaches. Views of Birdie Island and across the region. Great roads but some are still dirt roads, so be mindful.

Neighbourhoods
Lake beach is where I head for a quick dip, long walks and there is a classic beach café as well. Great bacon and egg rolls
This part of the beach has life savers on duty plus you can walk your dogs , however you need to enter the beach future down as they do not want dogs where the life savers are.
So you can park here but walk north of the café and enter the beach and walk north or if you want to walk south. Enter off Werepi street. About 2min past the main carpark
Budgewoi Road

The Budgewoi Lake is 5min walk from your stay at Riches Retreat. Great play ground for kids with BBQ and Picnic area. Great views at sunset with Kms of walks with pets and also cycling which join up to the Darren Smith Memorial Cycle way which passes the Lake beach and goes all the way to the Entrance for the fit ones amongst us.

Budgewoi
The Budgewoi Lake is 5min walk from your stay at Riches Retreat. Great play ground for kids with BBQ and Picnic area. Great views at sunset with Kms of walks with pets and also cycling which join up to the Darren Smith Memorial Cycle way which passes the Lake beach and goes all the way to the Entrance for the fit ones amongst us.
City/town information
Budgewoi is the nearest township and has all the basics you need.
There is a good size Coles with a liquor land, Chemists, Post office, Service station, ATMs, Newsagent, Juice bar, a few tasty takeaways and there's the Pizza Pit plus cafes like the Daily Coffee Den and Lilis Cafe on Tenth street.
Also over the bridge is the La Bocca Wood fire Pizza and Dominos. Also Oceans Fish n Chips. Ring to put your order in as always busy over weekends
The Coastal Hotel is there with The Olive Tree Restaurant and there is the Anchor Cafe for a tasty breakfast or lunch.
