We only moved to Somerset over a year ago ourselves these are collection of personal recommendations we have discovered and like.
A beautiful walk you can do from the bottom can take dogs. parking is a bit pot luck you can park at the bottom there is a leather factory that you can park or try your luck on the road you can walk into glastonbury from here. Can be v windy at top

This is a national trust setting 7 miles of beach stunning for beach walks busy in summer so best to avoid! There are several car parks one opposite the leisure park or if you want to walk the national trust cliffs go right to the other end.

Millfield is the largest school in the area they run an enterprise on line system where you can use their facilities pool tennis, holiday clubs etc

The Newt is the newest and smartest hotel in the area. You cannot book to eat in the restaurant unless staying however the gardens our open to the public but you have to pay £30 membership for annual pass then can use the gardens, cafe and shop.

Wells is the smallest city in the uk this is a stunning cafe on the outskirts of the castle. lovely old building on 4 floors good food and tables outside in the market

This is a popular outlet store has good parking 10 mins away, does have a cafe nero and pret a manger, pizza express we recommend the fondu lounge to eat here.

Somerset is famous for its Cider Farms this is a well known one with a shop and restaurant which does good roasts.. very popular and busy so avoid peak times and book!

This is just outside Bruton, Hauser and Wirth Gardens which are free to wonder around and has several sculptures, they host concerts in the summer. A fantastic farm shop and the Roth Bar and Grill is fantastic .. they will only use local produce.. need to book as popular

Babcary is a beautiful village prob 20 mins from here. One of the best places to eat in the area. It is popular so def book , lovely garden in summer to sit outside too
