Food scene
Narrowsburg is a charming town situated on the Delaware River. There are few lovely home stores to browse but the town is home to The Heron, an upstate farm to table restaurant that is a perfect brunch destination or the Laundrette, a cute local restaurant with awesome pizzas and a beautiful outdoor patio. Additionally, the main street has a great wine shop and a small specialty food store that you can grab some nice items. Narrowsburg is also home to a great farmers market every Saturday during the summer/fall from 10:00-1:00

I love a trip to Callicoon for their Sunday Farmers Market. This market is larger than the one in Narrowsburg and a place you can stock up on Hudson valley meat and produce. There is a brewery to check out and some nice restaurants/coffee shops for a meal.

Livingston Manor is a nice place to spend a morning or afternoon. There is a fun playground for kids and numerous restaurants to try such as The Kaatskiller, The Farm or the Walk In for amazing breakfast sandwiches. Livingston Manor is also home to Upward Brewery, an awesome place to spend an afternoon hanging out on their expansive lawn or taking a walk through their trails attached to their property.

This is a lovely hike for those looking to get out in nature. There are a couple of inclines, but a nice easy to moderate loop. Perfect activity to do in the morning prior to a brunch at the Heron

For a family with kids, you can visit Rollingstone Ranch to get a pony ride. Kids can groom the horse and take a loop around the indoor stable. Very fun activity for young kids 2+ years old!

A nice little park to take small children to. Gives you a nice change of scenery from the backyard and worth the short drive to give your kids somewhere to run around!

Plan in advance for your summer weekend, if there is a concert at Bethel Woods, you want to go! Outdoor music venue on the site of the original Woodstock festival…it doesn’t get better than this for music lovers!
