Our place is a newly renovated and lifted Queenslander. The real deal as the house is over 50 years old and has all the charm that only this kind of local house can provide! The downstairs of our house is all yours and is fully self contained and has 2 private entrances. We have given it a relaxing, beach decor that will destress you as soon as you arrive. It has 2 bedrooms that both have security screens on all doors and windows, so they can be left open to get that afternoon breeze. While there is a tv, unfortunately there is no aerial connection so we have provided a DVD player and lots of dvds. There are many of your favourite board games, cards and poker chips and a PlayStation 2 with over 100 games to choose from! We are on Vodaphone and it works well here for reception, we also provide WIFI so your phones and iPads won’t have any problems and you can watch tv on demand. This is for browsing only and NOT for downloading. There are also security cameras that monitor and record the outdoor, farm area so all cars and possessions are kept safe at all times. We have gone over and beyond to provide you with a wonderful place to stay with so many extras that it’s hard to mention them all. Breakfast is provided for you to cook with fresh eggs, bread, milk, spaghetti, baked beans and lots of different coffee and teas. Our aim is for you to be surprised at all the extra touches and worry about nothing but relaxing and enjoying your well deserved time off.
You are welcome to meet and greet with all the animals as most of them are rescues and have come to our farm to have rehabilitation or to finally get their forever home. All are friendly but children do need to be supervised for their own safety when interacting with them. Please know that your stay with us benefits them all!
There is a large, fenced, outdoor entertainment area of your own to use the bbq, Dart board, hammock, large table and chairs, a fire pit and there’s also your own clothesline and clothes horse in case it’s raining.
People traveling with animals or livestock are certainly welcome as we can accommodate all fur friends in paddocks, yards and small enclosures. As we have a long driveway, There is no problem with cars with trailers, boats or caravans of any size, trucks ( including carrying livestock) and RVs.
Camping is also fine on our property if you would prefer the more basic approach to your stay. You can set up your own tent or we have some available for your convenience. This can also help if you need your teenager to have some extra space as tents can be set up close to the house. Please discuss this option, if needed, when booking.
Long or short stays are fine. We all can’t wait to hear from you. All backgrounds will be made welcome, like we would our own family.
