I hope to provide you with a peaceful, private, personal space for you to retreat to at the end of a day of business or play around Adelaide. I live 12 minutes away, and am happy to drop by if you require some assistance. Aside from check-ins, I might drop by to do housekeeping for other rooms etc.
Adelaide CBD is a different sort of city to the hustle and bustle of the larger capitals in the eastern states. It has a strong but not ‘in your face’ art scene, lots of fresh and vibrant cuisines and all in all is a very pleasant city to live in.
Immediately nearby, you have ADELAIDE PHO on Waymouth St which is my go to for Vietnamese Cuisine. Round the corner is SUSHI PLANET which is also another favourite for sushi. A little further down Waymouth St is where you’ll find some fancier establishments like PRESS, MELT, THE UNION and GEORGES.
CHINATOWN will give you a host of options, a variety of cuisines will fit any budget you have. My personal favourite for Peking Duck is the MING PALACE, whilst I also rate PAPPA RICH for Malaysian cuisine and LITTLE NNQ during the day for Vietnamese.
Rundle Street (North East Adelaide) is (still) known for its Italian restaurants, but you’ll also find some great dessert places.
If you’re hungry late at night, there’s the Australian Pizza House, Hungry Jacks and McDonalds, all along West Terrace, either closing late or 24 hours.
The ADELAIDE CENTRAL MARKET (10 mins walk) is one of the best markets I’ve been to globally. It’s a great place to do your groceries, fresh fruit, vegetables, meats and seafood, specialty foods, and an amazing vibe (especially on Fridays/Saturdays) and a great place to grab a bite or a coffee and watch the world go by.
Your nearest supermarket is Coles on Grote Street, which is linked to Central Market. If it can’t wait, the nearest shop selling everyday items would be ‘On The Run’ which is part of the BP on the corner of West Terrace and Currie Street.
Rundle Mall is the shopping district of Adelaide, a 15 minute walk away. You’ll find your typical retailers here, it’s worth walking around just to check out the Rundle Mall pigs and the Malls Balls.
OUT AND ABOUT AT NIGHT
Adelaide is generally quiet during the weeknights, but comes alive at night during the weekends. Most of the action happens in the Northern Half of Adelaide, centralizing around Gouger Street, Waymouth Street, Rundle Street, and definitely Hindley Street. Just be generally cautious as you would in any urban setting especially in the later hours of the night and early morning.
Lots of family friendly and free places in Adelaide CBD especially along North Terrace - here you’ll find the SA Museum, the Botanic Gardens. The SA Library isn’t much; I find the Art Gallery quite diverse, but its current display is a bit confronting for children.
The Adelaide Zoo ($33.50/adult) is a great zoo - It’s small, but that makes it easy to walk. Highlights for me are the pandas, the RED pandas, the giraffes and the petting zoo.
Adelaide itself is great for a stroll in the right kind of weather. Start from our place, head past light square, and eastward along Currie Street. Turn left into Rosina Street to catch the Toy Car Wall. Then make your way to North Terrace, either Eastward via Bank Street or a little West via the Montefiore Rd ramps (go downwards). There's some street art under the bridge, but there's no guarantee on the quality as it frequently gets updated (Best I've seen was 'Lest We Forget' during Anzac Day). Now you walk upwards along North Terrace, and turn left at the Casino, or at the Festival centre - both will take you through some outdoor art installations at the rear facing the River Torrens. Walk along the beautiful River Torrens (have a picnic there!), cut back towards the CBD either via the Botanical Gardens or the majestic Adelaide University, head along North Terrace to cover the Art Gallery, Museum, State Library and then hit Rundle Mall for some shopping, dining, or some food. Then catch the tram (or walk!) down to Victoria Square, head to Central Markets and Chinatown, then head home.
David gyorsan válaszol minden olyan kérdésre, amely lehet, hogy barátságos és megközelíthető. Apartmanja nagyszerű helyen fekszik a város körül. Egyszerű, privát és elég jó a megfizethető áron. Nem lehetett volna jobb helyet keresni Adelaide-ban a költségvetésen.Brock2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
Prashant2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
Matthias2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
Kényelmes hely Adelaide városában. Csak körülbelül 15 percre van a CBD-től. David nagyon érzékeny és félelmetes fogadó! Mikor gondjaim vannak, mindig segít, hogy segítsen. Köszönöm a segítséget, David!Aliza2019-04-11T00:00:00Z
