Built in the mid 1800’s, Printers’ Cottage has been recently renovated to provide high quality, simple and stylish self-catering accommodation - perfect for walkers and as a base for exploring both country parks and the city of Glasgow.
Nestled within a row of cottages, the small sunny garden leads to a private entrance into the self contained flat. The decor is simple, bright and clean with wooden floors throughout. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, spacious bedroom with 2 single beds and a cosy living room with plenty of space to relax! The bathroom has a large walk- in shower and there is always instant hot water on demand. We provide a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk etc. and there will also be continental breakfast provisions for your first night - ideal for "one night stay walkers"
Blanefield is situated at the foot of the Campsie Hills and is the perfect base for exploring surrounding countryside and also the cities of Glasgow and Stirling. We have a local pub and hotel, plus a shop and small co-op (open until 10pm) providing all the necessary supplies. The larger supermarkets (Waitrose, Tesco, M&S) are all found in the nearby town of Milngavie (10 mins by car) There are direct trains to both Glasgow and Edinburgh from Milngavie Station and Stirling is approx 40 minutes by car. We are within walking distance of Mugdock Park, situated just 2 minutes from the John Muir Way path and a short detour from the West Highland Way. (If any visitors are planning to walk the West Highland Way, we are happy to collect you from the finish line in Milngavie.......or deliver to the start line if you are walking South to North!) The Loch Lomond National Park is on our doorstep and the beautiful Trossachs area just a short drive away.

    A freshly decorated upper cottage apartment. 3 guests can be accomodated in 2 rooms. The large room has a king sized bed and the smaller room has a single bed. We have a blow up bed if required. The property is occupied by my brother Craig, who is co host and will welcome you. Craig is a lovely guy and can assist with any info you require, he has a wealth of local knowledge! I live just across the road from the flat and can be contactable during your stay.
    Your own private space with full use of the shared kitchen, bathroom and living area. With exception of the bathroom, the entire flat has been modernised. The bathroom is clean, tidy and fully functioning, with bath and shower facilities, just a bit older fashioned!
    Situated in a lovely quiet neighbourhood just a short stroll from Milngavie town centre and the start of the West Highland Way. A short commute to Glasgow only 25 minutes by train and also easily accessible by bus. Regular train services to Glasgow and also direct train service to Edinburgh. Glasgow airport is a 20 minute taxi ride. Milngavie town centre has lots of lovely coffee shops and eateries. If you wish to escape to the country the moors are a five minute walk from the property with lovely walks to Mugdock Country Park or if your feeling more energetic to the Beech Tree Inn and Glengoyne Distillery.

Sleeping up to four with one double and one twin (can be converted into a double if need be) bedroom, our caravan also has a large airy lounge with a panoramic window offering great views over the surrounding countryside. kitchenette with all your essential cooking equipment and a bright shower room. Other facilities also include, flat screen television with freeview, DVD player and a selection of films. There is also a heater for those colder nights. Outside the caravan is a large decked veranda, perfect for taking in the beautiful countryside views on warm, sunny evenings.

    The apartment is ideally located across from the train Station and minutes from the start of the West Highland Way.
    The quiet neighbourhood of Milngavie is idea for a relaxing time away. On the doorstep is the start of the West Highland Way not to mention numerous other great walks. It’s also a stones throw from the west end by train. Alighting at Hyndland or Partick you’re minutes from the bustling markets and amazing brunch spots. My favourite is Partick Duck Club! In 25 minutes you can be in the City Centre if it’s shopping or a night out that you’re looking for. Milngavie itself has a number of great restaurants as well as 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk if you prefer to eat in.

    Cuilt Cottage is situated at the foot of the Campsie Fells, less than a mile from the West Highland Way and the John Muir Way in rural Stirlingshire. Loch Lomond is ten miles to the North. The Glengoyne distillery is just over two miles away. The cottage is within easy range of Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. It is a perfect area for walking and cycling. The property is newly refurbished with central heating, a stove and all mod cons including TV, phone and super-fast Broadband.
    Cuilt Cottage dates from the mid nineteenth century and was part of the dairy farm on the neighbouring Duntreath Estate. The property was completely refurbished in 2019 with two bathrooms, each with bath/shower and two bedrooms. There is a large, family dining kitchen which is fully equipped, with gas hob, electric oven and microwave, washing machine and larder fridge/freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine. Basic ingredients also provided. The cosy living room has a stove and comfortable sofas and a TV. The main bedroom can be configured as a king-sized double or two singles There is plenty of wardrobe space, an armchair and TV. Outside there is a small seating area with table and chairs. We live in the adjacent (but totally separate) farmhouse.
    Blanefield has a small hotel and restaurant. There is also a village deli/coffee shop, a pharmacy, an art gallery and a Co-op supermarket. It is a small community comprising Blanefield and the adjoining Strathblane. There are local walks and a cycling/jogging track.

    We are a new for 2019 accommodation providing a modern, stylish, comfortable space, consisting of six private rooms sleeping a maximum of 3 persons, each room has its own en-suite shower. There are 3 dormitory rooms providing 22 beds each room has its own en-suite showers and toilet. There is also one ground floor disabled accessible room with providing 2 beds with a disabled en-suite toilet and wet room shower. There is also a common lounge/dinning area with a fully fitted kitchen.
    The modern dormitory rooms are spacious and comfortable each room has its own shared toilet and shower facilities. we offer one 10 bed dorm and two six bed dorms
    The Attic is on the John Muir Way, 20 minutes walk from the West Highland Way. It is a short stroll from Burncrooks Reservoir where you can see Luss Hills, Arrochar Alps and Ben Lomond. Dumgoyne hill is at the edge of the Campsie Fells, it is a well known landmark visible from Glasgow. It is a volcanic plug and sits at 1,401ft high. Walking from Milngavie we are just off The West Highland Way, follow the West Highland Way for approximately 1.5 hours then turn left towards Edenmill G639AX

    'The Lomond' is a beautiful Victorian apartment located in the heart of Milngavie Town Centre, 50 metres from the start of the epic West Highland Way. Its one of two luxury apartments. West Highland Apartment has been thoroughly modernised, while retaining a number of the original features. The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout. This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay.
    West Highland Apartment is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features. The apartment has a brand new kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and breakfast bar. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill. The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a pair of single beds in each. The larger master bedroom has European size single beds for the taller person and comes with an en suite bathroom. Bedroom two has two standard single beds and use of the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have mirrored wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hair dryer.
    Milngavie Town Centre currently boasts twelve places to eat and enjoy a coffee: Costa, Fantoosh, Finsbay, Garvies, Café Alba, to name a few. It has over 120 businesses operating from the centre and its popularity is growing year on year. Milngavie is most recognised for being the start of the West Highland Way, but other walks, including the Clyde Costal Path, also meet in Milngavie. Throughout the year many events take place in the town including the Highland Games, Cycling Events, Car Events, Milngavie Folk Club, so you will have plenty to choose from on your visit.     A 2 bedroom semi detached property which has stairs to the 2 double bedrooms and bathroom, the ground floor has a spacious lounge and off this is the kitchen area which has a washing machine, use charging port switch, cooker, oven, microwave, sports nutritional blender, kettle pots pans and all your requirements from drinking a cuppa to cooking breakfast. The dining room seats 4 guests but also can be extended for another 2 guests if needed with seating on request. A lovely spacious garden front and back with a driveway for you to park your car.

    Craigmaddie Muir Roundhouse is nestled in a private silver birch woodland sitting high on a hillside, it is the most idyllic romantic hideout. The stunningly unique wooden roundhouse has a 180° floor to ceiling glass front, allowing you to take in the surrounding breathtaking views. The roundhouse is bespoke and handcrafted, inside you will be met with the most beautiful interior. From the sumptuous bed linen to the Italian leather sofa, the roundhouse offers luxury accommodation. The main living area is open plan and includes a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob, oven and fridge with ice compartment. Take in the stunning views whilst cooking your meal and dine at the adjacent table perfectly positioned to capture the most amazing sunsets. The open plan area includes a wood burning stove (logs are provided), where you can snuggle up on the sofa with a glass of wine and gaze at the view which stretches for miles. Or why not read that book you have always been meaning to read, or read one of ours. A romantic king size bespoke bed is positioned to the rear of the open plan area. Fall asleep to the sounds of the woodland and wake up to that view! The separate shower room adjoins the main room and here you will find a double shower with a rain head mixer, heated towel rails and a loo with the most amazing view! Enjoy the luxurious fluffy towels. A separate entrance porch provides plenty of space for boots and jackets. The roundhouse is Eco-friendly, powered by solar panels, and offers you a chance to reconnect with nature without the interruption of T.V. There are therefore no three pin plug sockets, however there are USB sockets for charging mobiles etc. and a hairdryer is provided. Outside you can have a romantic soak in our wood burning hot tub which sits on a decking area adjoining the house. The view can be enjoyed from here during the day or why not have one at night under the stars or with our beautiful lighting. The deck also houses a table and chairs, perfect for Al fresco dining. All can be conveniently accessed via a glass door from the main living area. There is a gas BBQ which can be used in an adjoining area. Chilled complimentary prosecco will be ready for your arrival. Craigmaddie Muir Roundhouse is a nature lover's paradise and wildlife can be spotted from the window or why not go walking directly on to our estate where you can enjoy more stunning views. It is also in a superbly central location for touring Scotland. Milngavie is only 2 miles away and has direct train links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Loch Lomond National Park, The Trossachs, Stirling Castle and The Kelpies, to name but a few, can be reached in under an hour. Local attractions include Glengoyne Distillery, Mugdock Country Park and The West Highland Way. There are also numerous sporting opportunities available locally such as mountain biking, golfing and horse riding. Milngavie also has numerous shops, restaurants and bars.     If you want to get back to nature but don't want to leave your creature comforts behind then "The Captain's Retreat" is the place for you. Having finished our first cabin, it has all of the luxuries you would expect from a 5* hotel, it just happens to also be in the most tranquil and private setting. Upon arrival you find your own designated parking space where you will walk through the enchanting woodland to find your very own little piece of calm, where you can unwind in a hand made cabin.
    Inspired by his experience of living in the wild for a year and his Grandfather; a gold mining prospector Jack has created Finglen Cabins. The "Captain's Retreat" is a little piece of paradise where you can escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. Come and relax on the verandah with a long drink and listen to sound of bird song and the burn which runs through our wild flower meadow. Finglen Cabins has everything that you will need for a relaxing getaway, whether you want to stay for the weekend or a month we we have thought of everything. There is hot running water, electricity, a woodfired oven and hob as well as an electrical hob (just in case it's too hot to fire up the oven)! There is an indoor bathroom with hot shower, sink and composting toilet, yes we have an indoor composting toilet. Don't worry the composting toilet is state of the art, it has a fan to remove any "odd" smells and a full user guide is included in your cabin welcome pack as there are some key tips tha you need to know about using the composting toilet. The cabin sleeps two people in a luxurious double bed with a storage drawer cleverly hidden under the bed, we also have a small wardrobe for anyone who doesn't want to leave their fancy frocks behind. Heating is provided by the wood burning stove and there is an electrical radiator in the bathroom, so you wont have to worry about cold damp towels. The cabin has been designed and built to be very heat efficient so it doesn't require much heating, and when warm it holds its heat amazingly well. We have created a generous veranda so that you can enjoy the fresh air when relaxing or eating during your stay. The icing on the cake and we are very proud of this addition is the hot running outdoor bath tub. What more could anybody want than to soak in a hot bath on a summer or winters evening whilst enjoying your favourite tipple and gazing longingly at the meadow and river as it winds its way past the cabin.
    Kick back and relax on the veranda and watch the aerial displays of Swallows and House Martins whilst enjoying spectacular sunsets over the river. With sunrise at 0430 and sunset at 2330 there is so much time to explore and enjoy the local area, climb mountains or just walk through the woods and relax.

    At Sunnyside Cottages we offer a friendly & peaceful stay near the West Highland Way. We have 2 rooms available, a guest double & a double sofa bed in the office too if additional space needed. Guests have the use of their own private bathroom however if both guest rooms are in use then these may be shared at times although we try not to overlap. There is plenty of driveway space for parking, a nice quiet garden, sunny decking & a wood burning stove for relaxing. Please note pets live here.
    We have 2 clean dogs that are kept separate from guests but will take the cuddles if you want to give them. Cars can be left with us when walking the West Highland Way for an additional fee. We offer a continental breakfast but if we are home then a cooked breakfast can be arranged or feel free to help yourself. Wood burning stove and TV etc in the living room can be used if you don’t mind dog cuddles. Can collect/drop off at Glasgow airport or Glasgow train stations by arrangement for an additional fee. Pets welcome if get on with other dogs.

    The Strath in Killearn is a delightful country home. The cosy seating area with wood burning stove opens into the kitchen and dining area. A large lounge with original fireplace is accessed through double doors. The kitchen doors provide access to the garden area, sheltered by surrounding trees. The two available comfortable double bedrooms upstairs provide views across the hills and countryside. A bathroom with bath and shower upstairs is complimented by the additional bathroom downstairs.
    A beautiful family home with a cosy and modern interior. Sitting in a quiet part of the village down a wee lane, surrounded by its own pretty garden with private parking. Walking distance to the local Church and Village Hall. Only a few minutes walk into the centre of the village and with a 30 minute drive to Glasgow and Stirling. The house was renovated a few years ago and has a relaxing decor with an open plan downstairs. It has a well equipped kitchen and log burner with a couple of settees, one of which makes into a double bed. Leading into a lounge with the tv, open fire and two big comfy settees. Two double bedrooms are available and a modern bathroom with bath and over bath shower. A utility room with a washing machine and hanger dryer is available. And use of all bedlinen and towels is included in the price.
    Killearn is a beautiful, pretty village, not too far from Glasgow or Stirling, and about 40 minutes from Glasgow airport. The surrounding countryside provides many things to do, walking from the house is very easy and you are soon off the main roads. The village is near to The Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park. Providing a wide range of outdoor activities! Glasgow is in reach and provides an incredible amount of theatres, galleries and places to visit...Edinburgh can be reached in about 1.5 hours. There is a Co Op about 400 yards from the house, out of the lane and turn left on the village road, past the pub on the left and follow the road down. It’s on the right hand side. The nearest train station is in Milngavie, about 20/25 mins drive from the house. Trains go into Glasgow and through to Edinburgh.

    This is a comfy double room in our home which less than 10 mins walk from the train station and bus routes and just 5 mins walk from the beginning of the West Highland Way, shops, cafes and restaurants making what we hope will be an ideal stop over for visitors embarking on the WHW or on business. As well as the hostess, there is a large and very chilled dog here and we look forward to welcoming a diversity of visitors, however sorry we are unable to accept bookings from single men at this time.
    The location is quiet and relatively private as there is no through traffic and no properties overlooking. The house is a maisonette over 2 levels with the guest room being on the ground floor and bathroom being upstairs. The living room is large and bright and is semi open plan to the galley style kitchen where guests are welcome to help themselves to tea, coffee and drinking water at any time. (continental breakfast provided). Off the living room there is a small south facing balcony which guests are welcome to use. The guest room is freshly decorated with a wooden floor and all the bedding and towels are new and of high quality (duvet and pillows are hypo allergenic). Drawer space can be made available on request and there are wall mounted hooks with hangers available. Bicycles are welcome and can be stored securely in the garage which is below the house. The bathroom is small but fresh and as well as necessary facilities has bath with overhead electric shower. Hot water is always available via combi boiler.
    We are 5 minutes walk from the start of the West Highland Way and beautiful moorland walks/cycles are adjacent to the house with walks around Milngavie Reservoir and Mugdock Country Park also close by so this is a perfect location for anyone who loves the outdoors and with our proximity to all public transport routes, equally so for anyone seeking an easy commute to the centre or west end of Glasgow.

    The beautiful nine acre garden and woodland gives a feeling of complete seclusion, rare for a property so close to Glasgow. Finglen enjoys an idyllic setting bordered on one side by the Fin Burn; home to herons, dippers, grey wagtail and mallard, and on the other by mature woodland. Finglen provides an excellent base for expeditions to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling or for exploring and experiencing the sublime beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Douglas works as a documentary cameraman and has travelled extensively in Scotland and is happy to give advice on expeditions further afield.

    Craigmore Farm dates from 1826 and was originally coach house for the nearby Carbeth Inn. The property is split in two with the owners main residence in the adjacent cottage. The property is on the main A809 between Glasgow and Drymen; ideally suited to walkers and those who wish easy access to both Glasgow, the Loch Lomond (25 mins in opposite directions) and the Central Belt. The West Highland Way and John Muir Way are within a kilometre.
    Craigmore Farm has been our home for 30 plus years and has gradually been restored and renovated to provide a comfortable, relaxing and private space, ideally suited to a couple (plus 1/2/3). Wifi is reasonablefor the area;15-20Mbpm. The accommodation in Dairy Cottage comprises; Lounge, with log burning stove. Comfortable chairs, books and tv. Dining Kitchen, fully equipped with all utensils and basic ingredients, direct access onto patio which enjoys morning sun. Larder fridge and freezer. Dining Room with loft sleeping area above. Master bedroom with direct patio access (same morning sun as kitchen) and ensuite shower room. Large tv and sofa in this bedroom also. Ensuite Shower room to master bedroom, tiled with walk in shower. Suitable for disabled. Second bedroom with single bed and trundle bed beneath(trundle bed slightly shorter than single bed) which can be made into a double if required. In addition, there is a single bed on a raised platform above the dining room. This area has a sloping ceiling so is not a ‘bedroom’, simply a sleeping area but fine (and possibly exciting..!) for a child (although it is a full size single so ok for an adult also, as long as they don’t mind the sloping ceiling...) It is also next door to the master bedroom and bathroom. ————————— PLEASE NOTE that the en-suite shower room is the only full shower room in the property. There is an additional toilet with wash basin off the lounge; handy for guests using the upstairs twin bedroom during the night thus avoiding entering the main bedroom to use the toilet there. ————————— The front door of the cottage is accessed by 3 steps but the rear patio door is level and thus suitable for wheelchairs. All rooms ex the upstairs second bedroom and the loft sleeping platform are on the one level. We love our house and garden. Having lived here for 30 plus years, it is now too large for us. Not wanting to leave, we have split it, allowing us to still use it when we have family to stay but we are happy to share it with guests who want to enjoy our lovely area! Bookings are taken for 12 months in advance. In the automatic listing we note that the cottage can only be booked for 3 night stays; if, however, this results in one or two nights remaining and you would like to book these, just contact me and ask. We would be happy to take these bookings if I can organise cleaning between stays and make sure everything is in order.
    Very central location on the main A809 road between Glasgow and Drymen. Very close to the West Highland Way and John Muir Way. The location of many scenes from OUTLANDER were filmed just 7 mins along the road in the, now famous, 'Devil's Pulpit' gorge. 20 mins to Glasgow/ 40mins to Stirling/ 75 mins to Edinburgh/ 20mins to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Too many good day out options to choose from. Lots are listed on information pack provided for guests use. Strathblane is 2.5 miles where you find a good pub and basic shops. Milngavie and Bearsden (5miles) have larger supermarkets etc. Great golf courses nearby as well as more holiday (but challenging) golf options at Strathendrick Golf course and the par 3 course at Buchanan Castle in Drymen. Numerous great hiking trails and cycle routes( bikes can be hired in Drymen). Glengoyne Whisky Distillery is in the next valley where they do an interesting tour and (obviously!) a chance to taste...

    Bearsden is a town in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the northwestern fringe of Greater Glasgow. Approximately 6 miles from Glasgow City Centre, the town is effectively a suburb, and its housing development coincided with the 1863 introduction of a railway line. The town was named after Bearsden railway station, which was named after a nearby cottage. Bearsden was ranked the seventh-wealthiest area in Britain in a 2005 survey and has the least social housing of any town in Scotland. The Roman Antonine Wall runs through the town, and the remains of a military bath house can be seen near the town centre. In 1649, the first New Kilpatrick parish church was built, which became the centre of administration for the area. The town's official Gaelic name Cille Phàdraig Ùr reflects the name of the parish. This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay.
    'The Nevis'' is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features. The apartment has a traditional galley kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine and fridge. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill. The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a pair of single beds in bedroom 2 and a large super king size double in the master bedroom. Both bedrooms have wardrobe space and a hair dryer.

    The accommodation comprises of a small bedroom with a double bed and there is a sofa bed in the living area that is available for a third guest. There is a kitchen area that has a oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and other basic amenities to help make your stay a pleasant one. The shower room has an electric shower, sink and toilet. Some books, games and a TV* with built in DVD player are also available. *There is no aerial or cable so the TV is for DVD use only at this time.
    Balfron and Killearn (both 5 minutes drive from the property) have supermarkets, butcher, baker, a post office and a selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. We recommend the 3 Sisters Bake in Killearn for great coffee and cakes and the Old Mill pub for good grub. Fintry is 10 minutes away and offers another good pub (Fintry Inn) and the Courtyard Cafe.

  • Manjinder nagy házigazda volt, és nagyon szívesen látott minket. Konyha- és társalgóhelyet használhattunk, ami nagyon kedves volt, ha van extra hely. Nagy szoba, rengeteg hely kutya ágyához, poggyász és rengeteg függő hely. Ágy alacsony, de nagyon kényelmes. Nagyon ajánlom, és mi maradnánk újra, ha rendelkezésre állunk, különösen mivel mindig boksz kutyánkkal utazunk. Még egyszer köszönöm Manjinder

    Small but cosy downstairs bedroom with comfortable double bed and own TV and dvd player. Guests have use of the open plan living/dining area to relax in and their own shower room next to the bedroom. We are in a quiet residential street, two minutes walk from the West Highland Way path or ten minutes from the official start in the village centre. There is a bus stop into Glasgow at the top of the road and the train station is a 15 minute walk. We are happy to accept couples and females.
    Kitchen, dining and TV/living room are open plan layout which makes for a sociable space where you can relax without having to sit in your room. We have our own living room so you will pretty much have the TV/living room to yourself. Guests are more than welcome to make themselves teas and coffees but we ask that the oven/hob are not used.
    Quiet residential street close to various walks, cycles and local restaurants, tearooms and bars. Under 25 minutes on the train takes you to the city centre of Glasgow and if you have a car 20 minutes will also have you out in the country or on the way to Loch Lomond.
