I am literally about 10 minutes from everywhere - the airport, downtown, Mall of America. Private basement "suite" includes a living room with large screen tv with Netflix. Your bedroom has a Beauty-rest World Class bed (Westin uses this one) with black-out blinds. The luxurious jet tub will profoundly calm and relax you. Microwave, mini-fridge and dishware are available. Massage therapy/acupuncture is available by appointment.

Having traveled a great deal, I am relying on experience to guide me in providing what you need for a fabulous stay. Not only do you have a private bedroom, but an entire "suite" downstairs. As you descend, the spa bathroom is directly in front, all stone quarried. Separate shower, jet tub for two, dimmer lighting and a radio for your listening pleasure will enable you to soak away your cares. Towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer and body wash are provided.
The bedroom is right next to the bathroom. A new Beautyrest bed you can collapse into with a black-out blind will ensure the best night's sleep of your life. There is a built in desk area and stool in the bedroom if you are traveling for business. The living room has a couch you can sink into to watch your favorite shows on Netflix and local tv stations for the news. The Kurig, microwave, dishware and mini-fridge will be very convenient for your stay. If you want your own sanctuary, you have found your spot!

I live in a safe, walk and bike friendly suburban area. My house literally adjoins Heredia Park in the backyard, where you can play tennis, shoot hoops and offer a playground for kids. Two blocks away is Veteran's Park with a bird sanctuary, mini-golf, pool and ice arena. Twice around and you have walked three miles. A grocery store is 6 blocks from my house. Just ask me about restaurants. We can additionally boast about a fantastic co-op named Lakewinds.

I work hard (Japanese style acupuncture and deep tissue massage) and play hard (avid bicyclist and did my first triathlon this summer). Minneapolis can readily boast a varied and exciting arts scene. Independent film festivals, cultural centers with live performances, theater, free outdoor concerts, etc. This week I attended a cello performance by the Portland Cello Project. They were riveting. There is always something interesting going on.

I am a foodie and am always on the hunt for a good breakfast on the weekend. I don't have to travel far for a really really really good meal.

I am currently lost in Diane Gabaldon's Outlander series (tv series as well). Her attention to historical detail and spinning a great yarn is unparalleled. Some friends just got back from Croatia and Slovenia so these are my current interests for travel.

When the thought of hosting for airb&b occurred to me, I wanted to create a space where people could regenerate from hectic schedules and lives. I am credentialed (five years of training) in feng shui, so providing an open and inviting space was crucial. Shopping for the perfect bed topped my list. Great sleep generates a great day! The jet tub for one or two added to the goal of relaxation and regeneration. Netflix on a comfy couch or a good book to read in between outings and the package is complete. Use the kitchen to cook or bring your food back and store it in the mini-fridge and heat it up in the microwave. Bon appetite!

I adore a good conversation yet will respect your space as well. I am here to serve and make your stay a memorable one.

Communications:

Since you will be downstairs and I sleep and reside on the top floor, there will be minimal interaction. I am here to make your stay a pleasant one, so please don't hesitate to ask for what you need.

We will communicate via text message. Once you have the WIFI settings, go to the Airbnb site for full messages as text messages are often incomplete. If I need to come downstairs, I will text first and if there is no response, I will then call. Last resort is a knock on the door announcing myself and asking permission to come downstairs (probably to do laundry).

I want to protect your privacy so will not be coming downstairs past 7pm.

I will do my best to do laundry while you are "out" on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

If you are staying longer than a few days, I will be checking for dirty dishes, replenishing supplies. removing trash and providing fresh towels. If you don't want me to do this, please let me know. Your monthly fee includes a thorough weekly cleaning at a time that works for both of us.
