Enjoy sunsets on the ridge with firepit overlooking the lake. Sleeps 17 in beds and airbeds. We’ll accept up to 20 added $/guest > 4) Bring a tent & sleeping bags for the yard! Pets are welcome. Pet fee is for 1 pet. Added pets ok upon discussion & added fee.

Wifi & TV available but take this time to unplug & unwind. Bring a book, some family games, your bikes for the trails and your water toys for the lake! Get outdoors!

A hely
The whole house is yours to enjoy! It isn’t the Ritz but it’ll do! It’s a bit of a quirky house actually but it does boast a full kitchen (except NO dishwasher - Yep! You’ll need to wash all the dishes used) & huge deck with a grill. It’s not fully furnished but more than enough to get by. Don’t be looking for a Beautyrest bed. Most beds really are airbeds. If you can’t sleep on an air bed, this may not be the place for you.

You have one acre and 125 ft of lakeshore to enjoy. Bring a kayak or SUP and enjoy our 100 acre back yard of pure lake bliss! We have a kayak, canoe, SUPS, lilipad, raft, and a paddleboat that are shared with us and our other BNB. So, you may not have to bring your own! There's also miles of trails for biking and walking with access from our property. So bring your walking shoes, roller blades or bikes!

3 of the 4 bedrooms are in the lower level. If you have trouble with stairs, we recommend you use the bedroom on the main level. You’re welcome to bring your own airbeds and sheets to set up in the living room or 4 season porch so you can wake up to a wall of windows looking out at the lake. If you sleep on the couch, you must put sheets on it to sleep on top of. If we find a guest has slept in the couch without sheets under them, we reserve the right to charge for furniture cleaning/shampooing.

The bathroom on the main floor is a half bath. The full baths with shower and tubs are in the lower level. There are also many stairs to get to the lake. If you have trouble with stairs, this may not be the spot for you.

Pets are welcome. Pets are people too. The listed pet fee is per pet per stay for our four legged guests. If you have more than one pet, we’ll need to approve that in advance. Please let us know details of your pet when you make your reservation request. If deposits are left in yard, you’ll be billed. If you have a tendency to not pick up da poppy, this may not be the place for you.

Please wash all dishes used during your stay! Dish soap is provided. Did I mention, the dishwasher is just a space filler? It is not connected. Please do not leave dirty dishes inside our mock dishwasher. Thanks!

There’s a laundry. Please bring your own detergent if you intend to do your laundry during your stay.

There are two ovens. The top one has self cleaning. So if your dishes tend to overflow, we'd really appreciate you using the top oven and wiping up the overflow as best you can. Thank you.

There's a dehumidifier in the laundry. If it gets a little humid for you, turn it on. It will pull the humidity out in no time!!

There's a fire pit. Bring your own dry wood. You may find plenty of wood around the property. However, it might not be dry. So best to stop at the gas station and get yourself a nice, dry bunch. We recommend getting some marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate while you're there. Be sure fire is out before you head in for the night.

Use of property and any lake toys are at your own risk. Return them to their proper homes when you have finished.

If you're a small party of two using a small portion of the home, let us know. We can work a reduced cleaning rate for you. It's a big house!

Events including additional guests from the confirmed reservation need to be approved. Event fees of $40/additional guest may apply. Inquire before your stay.

Parking is limited to 5 cars. If you expect to have more, we need to discuss and arrange for alternative parking solutions. PARK on the gravel driveway. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS. And absolutely DO NOT park on the neighbors yard. There is a pink string along the property line. Tho shalt not cross the pink line! :-) We do not have room for trailers and there is no public access on our lake. If you plan to bring a boat and trailer for use on another lake in the area, discuss this at the time of reserving so we can help you plan and make this possible.

Other than that, have a blast! It’s a super cool spot!

The uniqueness of our neighborhood is that we have the lake on one side and a long driveway to the road. Thus, we only have 2 neighbors! We are on 3.6 acres and our backyard is a 100 acre lake. On the other side of the lake is all nature park land with lots of trails to walk or bike on. You can walk to downtown Victoria or take a 10 minute drive or 30 minute bike to downtown Excelsior. We are conveniently located close to all the amenities you need (grocery, gas, Target) but you will feel like you are in the country.

Our neighborhood is very private! There are just 30 homes on 1 acres lots on the lake and 1/3 of the lake is nature preserve. There are bike/walking trails right out the door. You will enjoy the peaceful, tranquil environment feeling like you're in the north woods but still be within 10 minutes of anything you need!

With the privacy of our neighborhood comes the desire of neighbors to have their privacy. Please do not go in neighbors yards. There’s plenty of room to wonder on our land and boundaries are pretty evident with fence and landscaping.

We are also very close a great dog park.

My husband and I love to travel and meet new people on our adventures. We have stayed at many AIRBNB spots around the world. One day it hit us that we should host! So here we are. We have a lovely spot on a private lake surrounded by park land yet just minutes away from fine dining and conveniences.

We love to bike, hike, explore, drink Chardonnay (me) and craft beers from independent breweries (him). We enjoy chef-driven, farm-to-table restaurants, sampling different kinds of honey and having family over for Sunday brunch. We enjoy documentaries and he endures RomCom's with me! We enjoy all types of music and he loves to read about anything and everything. I'd rather go to the gym, go for a walk or garden than read but I love it when he shares all he's reading about and learning with me!

Our favorite AirBNBs so far are "Gypsy House" in the Blue Mountain National Forest area in Australia for outside the US and "Emu Ranch in Town" in Atlanta for within the US! Check them out. Sometimes we love our privacy but most of the time we hope to meet and engage with our guests here and the hosts when we travel. It is just so interesting to meet people from different places with different experiences than ourselves. So, if you stay with us, feel free to reach out to us and we'll make time to chill on the patio over a glass of wine or beer with you. If we stay with you, let us know if you're open to conversation over a bottle of wine! We'll get the wine!
