A cozy, comfortable spot to use as a base camp for your explorations of North Pole and Chena. With proximity to the town center and the Chena Lakes Recreation area, the Red Dog Room still feels secluded and private and has direct access to trails. The room has private entry, a small cooking area with a table and a private bathroom.

Located only 15 miles to Fairbanks, 10 miles to Fort Wainwright and 12 miles to Eielson AFB, the Red Dog Room offers a central location for whatever brings you to North Pole. The studio has private access via an outdoor deck which is a nice spot to relax in the warmer months. Unfortunately, the studio is not handicap-accessible.

We pride ourselves in our ability to be pet-friendly! Our loyal dog, Jack, accompanies us on most of our journeys, so we understand how valuable a comfortable, safe spot can be when you travel with your furry companion. While we ask that you don't leave your dog alone in the room, friendly and well-mannered dogs can be left with us if it is discussed in advance. We'll provide a set of bowls, a rag towel, and a cozy spot for your pup as well as a treat upon arrival.

The Red Dog Room is situated in a quiet neighborhood frequented by moose and other wildlife. There are a few houses around us but the area is quiet and the Red Dog Room is very private.

After moving to Alaska, I struggled to find work and instead put my energy into remodelling a room in our house and hosting our AirBnB. I'm an absolute lover of dogs and frequently travel with mine, so it was important to me to have a pet-friendly space for people wishing to travel with their pet. I love the outdoors, but can often be found playing board games or reading. My husband did most of the remodelling work and it is his passion to improve our home. Our dog, Jack, is usually the center of attention but he is very well mannered and even works as a therapy dog.
