Private, unique waterfront shack right on the Mangawhai estuary. The Jandal is made from sustainable materials, with oil / wax finishes to the ply walls, ceilings and hardwood floors, and the riparian rights section stretches to the harbours edge, fifteen paces from the front deck. It is very peaceful here.
We offer a getaway space for complete relaxation, with a double kayak to explore the harbour. Its a short stroll from here to the Bennetts, Dune, Frog and Kiwi cafes.

the cabin is situated 500m from Mangawhai village; Bennetts cafe, Frog and Kiwi restaurant, Dune (formerly the iconic Smashed Pipe), and local swimming at Pearson St.
Mangawhai is known as "Magical Mangawhai" and has one of the great surf beaches at the Heads, just 6km up the road, as well as easy access to Te Arai and the Kaipara harbour.

Hello there. We, Pauline and Malcolm, are your hosts. We are ancestral Wellingtonians who now live in the far North. Pauline is a fired-glass artist, and I design houses. Our daughter Maya is the manager, and she lives nearby in Karori. Maya will be looking after you during your stay if anything comes up. She is wonderful, and really on to it!
