The Pearls boasts a large salt water pool & a baby pool as well, so you can soak up the sun on one of the sun loungers by the pool-side, unwind in your exceedingly comfortable apartment or chill out on your balcony.

The self-catering studio unit is situated on the 9th floor of Pearls Sky The Capital and has the finest sea views. There is a Queen size bed with a bathroom - shower only and a comfortable lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and a little sunny balcony. The unit is fully air-conditioned and has full bouquet DSTV. The unit has no WIFI. The complex has a swimming pool, safe parking and a well managed guard house that ensures safely and security strictly. The apartment is provided with a cleaning service Monday to Saturday except for public holidays. Access to the beach is a short walk through the complex. Umhlanga beach offers a promenade for walking alongside the beach and safe swimming under the watchful eye of a lifeguard. During high season beach activities are a regular feature and deep sea fishing is a popular holiday activity. The launch of the deep sea fishing is literally at your doorstep. The finishes and furniture is of the highest quality and the Pearls Sky offers the highest quality accommodation for the holidaymaker and businessman.

Located at 29°43'S and 31°04'E on the east coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, is the bustling and popular seaside village of Umhlanga Rocks. Umhlanga is the Zulu word for "Place of reeds" which makes reference to the natural, reed lined, lagoon formed by the Umhlanga River meeting the Indian Ocean to the north of the village. There is the 26 hectare Umhlanga nature reserve on the southern bank of the river which consists of an estuary, dune forest and coastal forest. There are 2 nature trails open to the public through the Umhlanga nature reserve.

Umhlanga has 2 bathing beaches which are protected by shark nets and lifeguards. Main beach, as the name suggests, is the main bathing beach. Just to the north of Main beach is Bronze beach, the second bathing beach. To the south of Main beach is a natural rock pool known as Granny's pool which is where ski boats and other water craft launch from. The Umhlanga Lighthouse built in 1954, is possibly the most famous landmark in the area and is positioned to the south of Granny's pool.

Umhlanga Rocks is situated 20km north of Durban which translates to a 20 minute journey by car "up" the coast. Looking down on the village from up on the ridge is the "Gateway Theatre of Shopping" Complex, one of the largest shopping complexes in Africa. Gateway has a total floorspace of around 150 000m². Here you can enjoy an unequalled choice of shopping and recreational activities from fashion, food, technology and lifestyle to extreme sports. The best time of the year to plan a safari to the game parks is during the winter months when the grass is shortest which makes spotting the game a whole lot easier.
