'The Nevis' has been thoroughly modernised, while retaining a number of the original features. The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout.

This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay.

'The Nevis' is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features.

The apartment has a self contained kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, fridge and plenty of storage for that long stay. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill.

The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a Superkng in the master bedroom and a pair of single beds in the second bedroom (as a special request the second bedroom can be made into a double if required). Both bedrooms have wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hairdryer in Bedroom two.

The main living room of the property offers a large three and two sofa for the weary (or not so weary) traveller to relax. There is a 55" 4K TV with Virgin Fiber WIFI if you fancy a movie night via our free Netflix offering.

Access to the self contained kitchen is done via the hallway, offering that modern touch in a traditional property.

West Highland Apartments use the key drop box system with a unique code issued at the time of your booking, but be assured we will always be on the phone for any help or support you may need.

Born and bred in Milngavie, I have loved growing up in one of Scotland’s best villages (some would say town). The surrounding areas are amazing for walking, running, cycling... and a real breath of fresh air! This area boasts some of Scotland’s best features: West Highland Way (Europe's most popular walk), Mugdock Country Park (inc cinema), Waterworks and many more. They have been on my doorstep all my life and I have never tired of their beauty which improves with every season. My desire for the outdoors inspired this Air BNB project, offering every visitor the opportunity to see wonderful Milngavie and its surroundings from the heart of the village. If you need someone to show you around or advise what the town has to offer, I would be delighted to help. I simply love the outdoors, finding new trails and exploring. I have been lucky enough to travel a lot of the world as my parents work on Cruise ships as musicians, and have done for over 40 years. I was very fortunate to see a lot of the world first hand with them. Norway probably tops my list of scenic trips, as the Fjords are simply breathtaking, but having visited China, Russia, Africa, North America and other parts of the world, everywhere offers something amazing. As a musician, I play the sax and piano, and even thought about it as a profession, but decided other paths would be for me. Give me a good gig any day of the week, from Jazz, Classical, Rock, Pop or simply open mic nights. If you add musicals in there, let’s just say I must have seen most of them, but my absolute favourite is ‘Saturday Night Fever' which I saw with Adam Garcia as the lead many years ago, closely followed by the music of 'Wicked'. Food and films play a huge part of my social calendar and believe it or not Milngavie has its own cinema, small in stature (50 seats), but fun to visit in Mugdock Country Park. I love war, action and non-fiction films if possible. As for food, yes please, and I am not fussy, I’ll try anything (apart from Ribena and Chocolate Orange). We are very lucky for good food in Milngavie, there is plenty to choose from. I really want to make my guests welcome and enjoy visiting the Milngavie village. I am a perfectionist at heart and I have given my all to creating beautiful homes from home. I can say from experience that, in my opinion, some Air BNBs don't live up to their ratings. West Highland Apartments, Nevis and Lomond, I really believe, will impress you. I live locally, so will always be around to listen to you and do all I can to provide help and support on your visit.
