Affordable comfy spacious cottage on a private setting! Close driving distance to parks, hiking, art and culture, great views, restaurants & the beaches. A light breakfast of organic granola/yogurt/fruit in the fridge is offered, as well as teas, coffees, etc. The seaside farm is down the driveway where horses, sheep, chickens, cats, and a dog live. Feel free to wander. Come have a taste of West Ganges with amazing sunsets, Mt. Erskine hiking, Earth Candy market and Wild Cider, all nearby.

The cottage has an eclectic decor blending antique and modern, comfy beds, and a nice balcony over the pond. It has a very open design, from the living and dining room open to the kitchen. It receives the first rays of daylight, with trees to provide shade in the warm afternoons. It is suitable for those looking for a peaceful or romantic getaway, There is an expansive sky with moon and sunrises, so many stars to see in the darkness of the night sitting on the pond balcony, listening to the sounds of nature. There is everything you need to be comfortable, as a base to relax or explore the wonderful offerings of this magical island.

The neighbourhood is peaceful with quaint dwellings and farms. The farm is on a tidal inlet that runs from east to west and offers some of the best sunsets on the island. There are short walks and long hikes available nearby. The Mount Erskine fairy door hike is very popular, located uphill from the farm, which is itself 6 acres to explore. There is a canoe to use when the tide is high. The Earth Candy Market is only a few doors down, open tuesday and saturday, a worthwhile visit, as well as Wild Cider with great food and drink just a block further. A campfire spot is now available by the pond.

Hello and welcome to the farm. It has grown since 1989, with a goal to be fully self-sustaining. There is an awareness of the abundance of treasures mother nature offers in plant and wildlife, and the alternative lifestyle to consuming and throwing out plastics and waste every day. The bird life is spectacular, with resident woodpecker, owl, raven, heron, kingfisher, swallow, robin, and of course, the magnificent eagles. They built a nest right above the dining room glass solarium, and have had many babies in it!! The barn is home to 4 horses. Their duty is to keep the lawns mowed, and provide added beauty to the grounds. A whippet lives here. Four babydoll sheep arrived in April 2020, lavender maran hens came as well. In 2021 3 baby lambs arrived, and 3 babydoll ewes were purchased, totalling 9 sheep. There are now hens brooding, chicks chirping, and lambs baaing.
It's wonderful to have a quiet retreat that is so close to the fun happenings in the little town of Ganges and adventures sprinkled throughout the island.
The farm has changed it's offerings once the shut down occurred March 2020, and no longer offers breakfasts at the big farmhouse table, now the farmhouse has a quiet offering in one wing with the Seaside Room and it's private bathroom.
