This is a fresh and beautifully designed six-bedroomed detached villa on two levels, featuring contemporary décor with wooden floors and modern bathroom facilities. The property has a wonderfully bright reception room - with substantial area for entertaining, eating and seating - patio and French windows providing timber terrace access to extensive garden, solid oak traditional open-plan kitchen with open-vaulted cathedral ceiling and well appointed appliances.

It comprises reception hall, lounge/sitting room, home office/working area, six bedrooms (with the 6th bedroom doubling as a second lounge), double-basin master bathroom plus two shower rooms with basins plus WCs (three bathrooms in all). [ie. Accommodation comprises 1 twin, 1 double, 4 quadruple/family bedrooms.] Main living-reception area has a further large double sofabed (nb. limited privacy). All rooms and lounges are spacious enough for flexibility in accommodating extra children or adults, with additional folding beds.

The property is centrally heated by a gas-fired combination boiler, plus the lounge has a real log/coal fire to help make evenings more cozy. Other facilities include a utility/laundry room with fitted washing machine, a single garage plus roof terrace above and plenty of fitted wardrobes / cupboards / drawer chests providing ample storage. Fresh bed linen and towels will be provided, and can be changed when guests stay for longer durations. Kitchen, dining and cookware is ample for all your baking, cooking and eating needs.

Oh, and for 'Baby-Toddler' clobber, your hosts will provide travel cots, high chairs, stair gates, games and toys. Childrens' plastic cutlery and 'crockery' is also on hand. So, you don't need to pack all that clobber!

You'll have private use of the whole villa and be able to use your own private garden for exercising or playing as well as share the extensive gardens of Rockbank next door - where your hosts live. Rockbank is one of the oldest houses in the Milngavie and Bearsden area, and surrounded by high perimeter stone walls plus tall mature trees.

The 6 family-size bedrooms have plenty of space for guest beds. In addition, the main reception area has an additional double sofabed. More foldings beds with mattresses are available. [Additional beds can be made available if required, keeping in mind this is a family home rather than a hostel.]

Large and well-equipped kitchen for all your cooking and baking needs. Office/home-working area upstairs.

Off-street private parking for 5 vehicles. Oodles of free on-street parking available.

The village is situated on the edge of the beautiful Mugdock Country Park with the West Highland Way starting close by. Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, the many hills and the Trossachs National Park are all easily accessible.
