You'll experience every step; feeding the starter, making and shaping the dough, boiling and finishing the bagels with your choice of seeds, baking and, of course, noshing (eating) what may well be the best bagels you've ever tasted. We will begin on time. Participants take home baked bagels, shaped bagels to boil and bake the next day, a detailed recipe, and starter. Lifetime technical assistance is included.

Fresh, hot bagels. Traditional toppings and Tonno Spread (recipe and demo incl). Bagels are vegan. Tea and water. BYO bubbly or beer.

Bagels are not messy to make. But I know some of us just like to wear an apron. If you like to wear an apron, please feel free to bring one.

My home is in Oakland, just a few blocks from the Rockridge BART station. My neighborhood is full of restaurants, specialty food shops, and coffee houses. The Claremont Resort and Spa is just up the hill and the one of the greatest universities in the world is two miles North through another great neighborhood for food and shops, Berkeley's Elmwood District.
