Walk to 3 breweries in 4 hours with a lover of SF beer and local stories!

Enjoy 4 beer samples at each stop (4-5 oz each) along with some light snacks as you learn about the places you visit and the beers you drink, as well as interesting insights into different beer styles and the San Francisco beer scene. You will also get to tour one of the brewing facilities to get familiar with the brewing process.

While walking in between breweries/bars, enjoy the iconic sights of your neighborhood and glimpse into the past as we discuss the stories behind the objects.

Other things to note
No transportation provided. Arrive at tour starting point by walking, taxi or bus. Return home on your own as well.

After a decade in travel & tourism, I founded SF on Tap Tours to enjoy my 3 favorite things: beer, people & San Francisco (in that order). I've been showcasing our city & its beers for 4 years. I'm passionate about showing you a great time as you drink local beer with new drinking buddies & learn things that will make the rest of your trip way better!

I don't always lead this tour, but the guide will be very fun, friendly & adaptable, with several decades of living in SF to help create extra special experience!

Hol leszünk?

We'll start at ThirstyBear, San Francisco's second oldest brewery in operation and it's only organic one. Our visit here features an exclusive tour of their fascinating basement brewery, very generous beer pours, and tasty appetizers!

From here, our walking route can deviate to various breweries or beer bars depending on events. Experience and learn about the SoMa neighborhood, where urban grit collides with the wealth of our tech industry.

The 2 guides were passionate about beer and personable. The tour takes you to 3 breweries including the organic brewery Thristy Bear (5 beer samples) and Bartlett Hall (4 beer samples). The 9 samples were about 5 oz each, which would have been very generous, but the beers were mediocre at best. The samples included about half the beers at each brewery. The first brewery brought out a dump bucket to pour your unfinished beer so they could fill your glass with the next beer. I have never seen a dump bucket on prior beer tours because most people finish the beer, but the dump bucket filled and had to be emptied by the third round of sampling. My party of 4 did not continue to the last brewery. Rather, we found a bar nearby the ballpark that had better beers. I would not go back to the 2 breweries we attended and I would not recommend this tour.

What a phenomenal tour! Our guides, Mike and Dylan, were extremely knowledgeable, fun, friendly and professional. Their knowledge regarding beer was exceptional.They did a great job of fostering relationships within the group. We had such a good time, our group met up later that night and enjoyed a fun evening of karaoke. You should definitely book this tour. You will not be disappointed.

Mike was such a legend! He had such a passion for beer and San Fransisco which really made the tour! We visited some amazing breweries/ bars we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. The pours were generous, snacks were delicious and company was great! Would definitely recommend!

My cousins and I had a great time on this beer tour. We learned about different kinds of beer and our host brought raw materials we could taste or smell to get a better sense of how beer is made. Mike was very knowledgeable about beer and works at a brewery himself. We bonded with the other guests on the tour, and we even went out after. We had a great time.

Amazing experience, not only were the people there so interactive but the tour guide, Lina, was amazing. She did an amazing job explaining the history of everything of bar experiences and beers. It was great ! Thank you for the experience and I will recommend everyone to come to the second longest running brewery in San Francisco !
